4th August 2013
Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip
Wind Direction: Southerly
Wind Stength: 12-21kts
Surf / Sea State: flat to swell
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: sunny and warm
Max Speed: 25.44 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 21.8 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Thought it was a disaster when I arrived at 2.30 to see no wind, but it filled in to be a 5 star day. Rigged Pryde 8.7 H2 powerful twin cam sail / 146L JP Excite ride pro and took off from the beach straight into the straps - great. Direction was good for Dip to pier runs so headed that way. Met Dave Coles training on the way back so tormented him to chase me. Bastard wind was too light as DC always go broad on the formula to mess me up, so he passed easily.
Second run, Oh yes wind filled in, annoyed him again for a slalom reach Fludge Point to river and he watched my arse all the way to the river :) We clocked 25.44 kts on the run, he said he was catching me then DC hit a buoy line and went flying over the top :) Thought he was trying to trick me so kept going to Holland just in case :)
Respect for the formula head, as I dont know how he stayed on the door thru massive swells as we hammered thru the river mouth!
Top sail with Ian and DC. saw Chris at the fludge - the others had all gone, packed up just after 6.0, covering 21.8 nm's. Stayed on the water 2hrs 35 mins with one small break.
